Snap Happy Bag Class

Did you know that we have a Flickr group now? Join our group and post pictures of anything Lickety Stitch Quilts related. Fabrics you've purchased here. Quilts that Karen has quilted. Clothing and accessories from patterns you bought from us. Anything!

The Snap Happy Bag Class we had a couple weeks ago was a great success. We had 5 people attend & leave with some beautiful pouches. The fun thing about the Snap Happy bags are that they have a secure closure & no zippers! Instead they use a couple pieces of carpenter's tape measure to keep the pouch/pockets closed. Make it With Wool

Have you heard of the Make it With Wool competition? It is a nation-wide competition "to promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabrics & yarns".

Skirt & coat set made by Karen Wisseman, owner & operator of this fabulous shop!

Our local (county) competition is coming up in about a month. The winners will then go on to the state competition in December & whoever wins state will go onto the national finals in Arizona at the beginning of next year.

You should definitely check out the news & events page from this year. It's got some great stories about this year's winners.

I really have no idea what I'm getting myself into yet, but I have a couple things planned so we'll see how it all pans out.

And remember how we were talking about chenille the other day? Look at this beautiful chenille coat Karen made with 4 layers of beautiful wool.
